Huish

About Huish

Two men from the tiny community of Huish laid down their lives in the Great War. One was a young, high-ranking officer, a Brigadier General in the Irish Guards, the other a Private in the Devonshire Regiment.

They are both remembered on a granite memorial outside the church of St James the Less in the parish.

Research on the Honoured of Huish by Philip Collins.
